Comments:

The 3rd championship race made use of the new marker buoy Cocheen on the northern shore giving some reaches into the mix of downwind and upwind legs. Light winds resulted in a long race with the first boat crossing the finish after an hour and 40 minutes. The Wayfarer and Ette fleets had another tightly fought competition with many position changes throughout the race, it was Sean Cochrane who took the victory in the Wayfarers and Jerome Mayhew in the Ettes. Emma Bunting held her time in the flying 15 crossing the line first and taking the win on corrected time. The Wayfarers took the next six spots, Mike Toogood and Nicky Lee also had great races following Sean home. The K2 suffered some gear failure which put them out of the top finishes they had previously enjoyed.
